11:00 am: Carter Mansion Tour- Built by Watauga settlement leaders, John and Landon Carter in the late 1700s, a tour of Tennessee’s oldest frame home is a must!  Adults – $7.00 (cash only please); 7-17 years old – $3.00 and those 6 and under are free.    

2:00 pm: Sabine Hill House Tour– Accompany Stuart on a tour of the famous Taylor family’s recently restored, 19th century home! Adults- $7.00 (cash only please); 7-17 years old – $3.00 and those 6 and under are free.

9:00 am: Fishing on the Watauga– Join Jared for a fishing lesson on the Watauga. Bring a fishing pole if desired. Meet in Front of the visitor center.

9:00 am: Birding/Nature Hike- Meet Jared at the bottom of the ramp behind the visitor center for an interactive nature hike that covers the trail and surrounding areas of Sycamore Shoals. 

10:00 am: Lifestyles of Whites and Cherokees Meet Stuart outside Fort Watauga and see how the Cherokees and white settlers survived in the frontier wilderness.

9:00am: River Stomp: Explore one of the healthiest rivers in Tennessee; enjoy a morning of hunting macroinvertebrates, and investigating the river. (You may get wet!) Meet Jared in front of the visitor center.

1:00-3:00: Pelt Program– Stop in the museum to learn about the mammals that inhabit east Tennessee. 

2:00 pm: Sabine Hill House Tour– Accompany Stuart on a tour of the famous Taylor family’s recently restored, 19th century home! Adults- $7.00 (cash only please); 7-17 years old – $3.00 and those 6 and under are free. 

3:30 pm: Enslaved People at Sabine HillStuart will be at the historical Sabine House to share how the African-Americans of the Taylor estate lived and worked.

10:00 am: Long Hunters Discover how an 18th Century Long Hunter would live in the Appalachian frontier. Meet Stuart at the wooded area next to the fort gates.
