Would You Camp or Glamp in Jonesborough?

Are you a camping expert with an RV in tow, or would rather just show up with all the amenities taken care of? Either way, there’s a campground located in Jonesborough within the Cherokee National Forest and along the banks of the Nolichucky River that can cater to just about any style of spending a few nights outdoors. And, don’t worry, Wi-Fi is included!

Riverpark Campground features full hookup RV and tent sites, but their most popular options include a few extra perks that make sleeping under the stars a unique experience full of character.  The glampground side of the park includes three options:

1949 Retro Mainline Camper

This camper is among 14 left of its kind and sleeps two comfortably. The interior is completely restored with a retro microwave, fridge, dining area and AC. If you love history or antiques you’ll adore staying in this vintage camper.

Gypsy Camper

This camper includes a shaded view of the Nolichucky River and is perfect for two. The interior is completely remodeled and features a calming vibe, almost like you’ve walked straight into a fairytale. She’s a micro mini, but still offers amenities such as a sink, mini fridge, and AC.

Caboose Cabin

The caboose cabin is refinished with its own spacious bathroom, fridge, patio, shaded view of the Nolichucky River, a queen size bed, and small couch.

On the grounds, you can dip your toes in or kick back to the calming sounds of the infamous Nolichucky River that runs straight through the property. Perfect for kayaking, tubing, and fishing, guests have exclusive access to the River, with a few campsites that also connect to a private pond.

Campground guests also enjoy the Café located onsite that specializes in home baked goods such as banana streusel bread, brownie fudge pie, and cinnamon coffee cake. The camp store has an array of beverages, boutique shopping, and camp essentials such as wood and ice.

Open during office hours, the camper lounge offers yard and board games, a treadmill, book exchange, and WII console.

Located only 10 minutes from Historic Downtown Jonesborough, guests find themselves exploring history, shopping from local artisans, and basking in the Appalachian culture of the Storytelling Capital of the World and the Oldest Town in Tennessee. The best part, the heart of Jonesborough is a quick drive or scenic bike ride from River Park Campground through back country roads lined with farms and seasonal fruit stands.
