Warriors' Path Sprint & Olympic Triathlon

The Warriors’ Path Sprint & Olympic Triathlon takes place at Warriors’ Path State Park in Kingsport, TN. The swim portion is in Patrick Henry Lake. The bike course is along scenic country roads with lots of shade. The run course is entirely within the park with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Age Groups and Athena (women > 164lbs) and Clydesdale (men > 219lbs) categories are available.
This is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event. If you do not have a USAT license, you will be required to purchase a $15 one-day license for insurance purposes.
SPRINT COURSE:
Swim – 300 meters – This course is a point to point across the lake.
Bike – 7.5 miles – The Sprint bike course is an out and back along Fall Creek Road to the end of Old Mill and back.
Run – 5k – The Sprint run course is one loop around the park which includes one hill.
OLYMPIC COURSE:
Swim – 1.5k- The Olympic Tri swim is mostly along the shoreline.
Bike – 26 miles- The Olympic bike course starts along the same route as Sprint bike course and then continues along a hilly scenic loop. Climbing Buttermilk is the first real challenge, then there are two very steep short climbs towards the middle of the course. There are lots of rolling hills, but also some nice sections where you can really fly.
Run – 10k – The Olympic run course is two loops around the park.
The park is open to the public and all triathletes need to be aware that this event is not a closed course event. Please be aware of other park users.
T-Shirts are not guaranteed for triathletes who register after August 24, 2017.
