Main Street Elizabethton, Tennessee, truly comes alive during the holiday season. Fun events are kicking off this fall, as we get into the spirit of celebrating holidays on Main Street!

History

With an abundance of history in this charming Southern town, it’s a must-stop visit when coming to Northeast Tennessee this fall. From activities at Covered Bridge Park to late evening shopping events and art shows, Main Street is buzzing with the autumn spirit this season.

Downtown

Main Street Elizabethton and Carter County are filled to the brim with history, culture, and sweet annual festivities that bring this community alive! Elizabethton, Tennessee, is home to the oldest building in the state and The Covered Bridge, built in 1882.

Barktoberfest

Barktoberfest is a fun fall event taking place Saturday, October 14, from 2-7 pm at Covered Bridge Park. This festival promises a fun-filled experience for both dogs and their humans, with various activities like a pup costume contest and cake walk! There will be doggie games, food vendors, a beer garden, and more. Come out to enjoy quality time with your four-legged companions in a beautiful park setting.

Upcoming Events

Situated among the Appalachian Mountains, Elizabethton is the perfect place to grab a coffee and breakfast on your way to see the colorful leaves changing in the higher elevations. When coming down from a day hiking or mountain biking, make sure to add these upcoming events to your calendar:
