From May through October, the Blountville’s Farmers Market is where a lot of Saturday mornings end up.

Then there’s Muddy Creek Raceway.
It’s a well-known motocross track that draws riders and fans from out of state. The course follows natural terrain, which keeps things fast, technical, and always interesting. Even if you’ve never been to a race before, it’s hard not to get into it once it starts.

Downtown Blountville is also home to the Sullivan County Department of Archives and Tourism. With a lengthy database of genealogy and historical records throughout the County, this office is a great starting point for tracing family roots. You’ll also want to take time to visit the Veterans Memorial Park near downtown, honoring the area’s veterans from 1779 to the present day.
